Tremors 2: Aftershocks Shrieker Shrieking Computer generated graphics used in film lack the ability to interact on screen with actors. Because of this limitation many directors require physical effects to be created for use with the actors on set. This image is from the archives of Amalgamated Dynamics Inc., an effects company specializing in this area. Here is a close-up shot of one of the ADI shrieker puppets. It is a cable operated puppet that took 8 puppeteers to perform. You can see in this shot the translucent skull that we designed to look as if it was still in a cartilaginous state before the beak shells hardened like on the adult worms.
