Pop culture always embraces ideas from TV... it used to be that slapping something together was Jerry-rigging.

Then it became Macgyvered. I think for awhile it was even A-Teamed.

Well what about Burt? As Agent Twitchell pointed out in EPisode 7, it was a "Gummer kind of door".

What other things have been Gummerized?

TREMORS: Burt's homemmade, PVC bombs.
TREMORS 2: Earl made the bomb R/C Cars, and coated himself in Extinguisher foam to cool his body heat.
TREMORS 3: Burt and Jack's "potato gun"
Episode 1/Feeding Frenzy: The USGDS (Ultra Sonic Graboid Defense System), the PVC periscope, and of course, the "Power Wagon"
Episode 2/Shriek and Destroy: ?
Episode 3/Blast from the Past: Tyler's "Skyfishing"
Epi 4/Hit and Run: ?
Epi 5/Project 4-12: Burt's Flamethrower
Epi 6/Ghost Dance: Super shop vac
Epi 7/Night of the Shrikers: Tyler's super shock prods
Epi 8/A Little Paranoa: ?
Epi 9/FLora or Fauna: Burt's rocket propelled Sand Anchor, Ballon vehicle, Poison administrator
Epi 10:/Graboid Rights: Bag of medicine for El Blanco
Epi 11/Water Hazard: ?
Epi 12/Sounds of Silence: ?
Epi 13/The Key: Larry's Fishing pole to snag the gun?

Other Gummered Items

What else would we like to see Gummerized?

On an episode of Mythbusters, they build a cannon out of a tree! If that doesn't have Burt written all over it, I don't know what would!

I can see Burt now, fighting some monster and Betsy gets damaged or lost. What to do... if only he had a cannon. Easily done... take a PVC pipe, then surround it with small diameter trees, then use steel cable (from a vehicle winch) to wrap it all up, real tight. Take powder from small arms ammunition and make a charge: Load the various rounds from the ammo for cannister shot, or use a big chunk of metal for a single projectile.

And of course, he'd have his cannon fuse handy...
